Hawke’s Bay Shows:
Ra and the band had a couple of gigs in Hawke’s Bay and took a camera along to document the trip. The music is taken from the first night and is an upbeat version of Adele and Bob Dylan’s song, Make You Feel My Love.
Rā Charmian - The Only One
New single available from the 1st of October
Recorded in a beautifully secluded church in Helensville just north of Auckland, “The Only One” is the first release from Rā Charmian’s debut album.
“I love music that brings people together - the type of music my whānau sing at family gatherings. That’s the feeling I’m going for on the album” says Rā (Rā Charmian Toia-Booth).
The single is co-written and produced by Hayden Booth, with some help along the way from Alistair Deverick (Boycush/Ruby Suns) and Chis Grant (Sola Rosa/dDub) with the video being shot by Ra and Hayden through their journey creating the song.
Rā’s first EP from 2019 was featured on Radio New Zealand with a live performance on Afternoons with Jesse Mulligan, and on Air New Zealand’s landing music playlists.
Previous to this, Rā performed for several years across Asia and the Middle East before returning to her home country of New Zealand to pursue the dream of writing and performing her own music.
The Only One will be available on all platforms from the 1st of October.
